How To Uninstall amoeba On Debian 8

To uninstall amoeba just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just amoeba

fast-paced, polished OpenGL demonstration by ExcessDebian 8.0contrib/x111.1-26+b2
sudo apt-get remove amoeba

This will remove just the amoeba package itself.

Uninstall amoeba and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove amoeba

This will remove the amoeba package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for amoeba then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge amoeba

Or similarly, like this amoeba

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove amoeba
