How To Uninstall chocolate-doom On Debian 8

To uninstall chocolate-doom just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just chocolate-doom

Doom engine closely-compatible with vanilla doomDebian 8.0contrib/games2.1.0-1
sudo apt-get remove chocolate-doom

This will remove just the chocolate-doom package itself.

Uninstall chocolate-doom and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove chocolate-doom

This will remove the chocolate-doom package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for chocolate-doom then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge chocolate-doom

Or similarly, like this chocolate-doom

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove chocolate-doom
