How To Uninstall linux-wlan-ng-firmware On Debian 8

To uninstall linux-wlan-ng-firmware just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just linux-wlan-ng-firmware

firmware files used by the linux-wlan-ng driverDebian 8.0contrib/kernel0.2.9+dfsg-5
sudo apt-get remove linux-wlan-ng-firmware

This will remove just the linux-wlan-ng-firmware package itself.

Uninstall linux-wlan-ng-firmware and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove linux-wlan-ng-firmware

This will remove the linux-wlan-ng-firmware package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for linux-wlan-ng-firmware then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge linux-wlan-ng-firmware

Or similarly, like this linux-wlan-ng-firmware

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove linux-wlan-ng-firmware
