How To Uninstall matlab-gdf On Debian 8

To uninstall matlab-gdf just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just matlab-gdf

IO library for the GDF -- Matlab interfaceDebian 8.0contrib/science0.1.2-2
sudo apt-get remove matlab-gdf

This will remove just the matlab-gdf package itself.

Uninstall matlab-gdf and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove matlab-gdf

This will remove the matlab-gdf package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for matlab-gdf then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge matlab-gdf

Or similarly, like this matlab-gdf

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove matlab-gdf
