How To Uninstall nvidia-installer-cleanup On Debian 8

To uninstall nvidia-installer-cleanup just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just nvidia-installer-cleanup

linuxcleanup after driver installation with the nvidia-installercontrib/misc20141201+1
sudo apt-get remove nvidia-installer-cleanup

This will remove just the nvidia-installer-cleanup package itself.

Uninstall nvidia-installer-cleanup and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove nvidia-installer-cleanup

This will remove the nvidia-installer-cleanup package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for nvidia-installer-cleanup then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge nvidia-installer-cleanup

Or similarly, like this nvidia-installer-cleanup

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove nvidia-installer-cleanup
