How To Uninstall nvidia-support On Debian 8

To uninstall nvidia-support just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just nvidia-support

linuxNVIDIA binary graphics driver support filescontrib/misc20141201+1
sudo apt-get remove nvidia-support

This will remove just the nvidia-support package itself.

Uninstall nvidia-support and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove nvidia-support

This will remove the nvidia-support package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for nvidia-support then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge nvidia-support

Or similarly, like this nvidia-support

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove nvidia-support
