How To Uninstall python-pycuda-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall python-pycuda-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-pycuda-dbg

Python module to access Nvidia‘s CUDA API (debug extensions)Debian 8.0contrib/debug2014.1-3
sudo apt-get remove python-pycuda-dbg

This will remove just the python-pycuda-dbg package itself.

Uninstall python-pycuda-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-pycuda-dbg

This will remove the python-pycuda-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-pycuda-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-pycuda-dbg

Or similarly, like this python-pycuda-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-pycuda-dbg
