How To Uninstall ca-certificates On Debian 8

To uninstall ca-certificates just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ca-certificates

linuxCommon CA certificatesmisc20141019+deb8u3
sudo apt-get remove ca-certificates

This will remove just the ca-certificates package itself.

Uninstall ca-certificates and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ca-certificates

This will remove the ca-certificates package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ca-certificates then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ca-certificates

Or similarly, like this ca-certificates

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ca-certificates
