How To Uninstall cachefilesd On Debian 8

To uninstall cachefilesd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cachefilesd

support fscache on already mounted filesystemDebian 8.0misc0.10.5-1
sudo apt-get remove cachefilesd

This will remove just the cachefilesd package itself.

Uninstall cachefilesd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cachefilesd

This will remove the cachefilesd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cachefilesd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cachefilesd

Or similarly, like this cachefilesd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cachefilesd
