How To Uninstall calcurse On Debian 8

To uninstall calcurse just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just calcurse

linuxtext-based calendar and todo managerutils3.1.4-2
sudo apt-get remove calcurse

This will remove just the calcurse package itself.

Uninstall calcurse and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove calcurse

This will remove the calcurse package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for calcurse then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge calcurse

Or similarly, like this calcurse

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove calcurse
