How To Uninstall cantor-backend-octave On Debian 8

To uninstall cantor-backend-octave just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cantor-backend-octave

Octave backend for CantorDebian 8.0math4:4.14.2-2
sudo apt-get remove cantor-backend-octave

This will remove just the cantor-backend-octave package itself.

Uninstall cantor-backend-octave and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cantor-backend-octave

This will remove the cantor-backend-octave package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cantor-backend-octave then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cantor-backend-octave

Or similarly, like this cantor-backend-octave

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cantor-backend-octave
