How To Uninstall cantor-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall cantor-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cantor-dbg

debugging symbols for cantorDebian 8.0debug4:4.14.2-2
sudo apt-get remove cantor-dbg

This will remove just the cantor-dbg package itself.

Uninstall cantor-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cantor-dbg

This will remove the cantor-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cantor-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cantor-dbg

Or similarly, like this cantor-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cantor-dbg
