How To Uninstall cantor On Debian 8

To uninstall cantor just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cantor

interface for mathematical applicationsDebian 8.0math4:4.14.2-2
sudo apt-get remove cantor

This will remove just the cantor package itself.

Uninstall cantor and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cantor

This will remove the cantor package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cantor then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cantor

Or similarly, like this cantor

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cantor
