How To Uninstall capistrano On Debian 8

To uninstall capistrano just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just capistrano

tool to execute commands in parallel on multiple serversDebian 8.0ruby3.2.1-1
sudo apt-get remove capistrano

This will remove just the capistrano package itself.

Uninstall capistrano and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove capistrano

This will remove the capistrano package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for capistrano then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge capistrano

Or similarly, like this capistrano

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove capistrano
