How To Uninstall cassiopee On Debian 8

To uninstall cassiopee just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cassiopee

index and search tool in genomic sequencesDebian 8.0science1.0.1+dfsg-3+b1
sudo apt-get remove cassiopee

This will remove just the cassiopee package itself.

Uninstall cassiopee and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cassiopee

This will remove the cassiopee package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cassiopee then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cassiopee

Or similarly, like this cassiopee

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cassiopee
