How To Uninstall catcodec On Debian 8

To uninstall catcodec just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just catcodec

tool to decode/encode the sample catalogue for OpenTTDDebian 8.0devel1.0.5-2
sudo apt-get remove catcodec

This will remove just the catcodec package itself.

Uninstall catcodec and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove catcodec

This will remove the catcodec package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for catcodec then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge catcodec

Or similarly, like this catcodec

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove catcodec
