How To Uninstall cciss-vol-status On Debian 8

To uninstall cciss-vol-status just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cciss-vol-status

linuxHP SmartArray RAID Volume Status Checkeradmin1.11-2
sudo apt-get remove cciss-vol-status

This will remove just the cciss-vol-status package itself.

Uninstall cciss-vol-status and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cciss-vol-status

This will remove the cciss-vol-status package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cciss-vol-status then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cciss-vol-status

Or similarly, like this cciss-vol-status

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cciss-vol-status
