How To Uninstall cd-discid On Debian 8

To uninstall cd-discid just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cd-discid

CDDB DiscID utilityDebian 8.0sound1.4-1
sudo apt-get remove cd-discid

This will remove just the cd-discid package itself.

Uninstall cd-discid and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cd-discid

This will remove the cd-discid package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cd-discid then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cd-discid

Or similarly, like this cd-discid

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cd-discid
