How To Uninstall cdbs On Debian 8

To uninstall cdbs just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cdbs

common build system for Debian packagesDebian 8.0devel0.4.130+deb8u1
sudo apt-get remove cdbs

This will remove just the cdbs package itself.

Uninstall cdbs and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cdbs

This will remove the cdbs package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cdbs then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cdbs

Or similarly, like this cdbs

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cdbs
