How To Uninstall cdcat On Debian 8

To uninstall cdcat just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cdcat

linuxmedia catalog programx111.8-1
sudo apt-get remove cdcat

This will remove just the cdcat package itself.

Uninstall cdcat and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cdcat

This will remove the cdcat package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cdcat then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cdcat

Or similarly, like this cdcat

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cdcat
