How To Uninstall cde On Debian 8

To uninstall cde just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cde

package everything required to execute a Linux command on another computerDebian 8.0utils0.1+git9-g551e54d-1
sudo apt-get remove cde

This will remove just the cde package itself.

Uninstall cde and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cde

This will remove the cde package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cde then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cde

Or similarly, like this cde

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cde
