How To Uninstall cdebconf On Debian 8

To uninstall cdebconf just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cdebconf

linuxDebian Configuration Management System (C-implementation)utils0.192
sudo apt-get remove cdebconf

This will remove just the cdebconf package itself.

Uninstall cdebconf and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cdebconf

This will remove the cdebconf package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cdebconf then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cdebconf

Or similarly, like this cdebconf

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cdebconf
