How To Uninstall cdo On Debian 8

To uninstall cdo just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cdo

linuxClimate Data Operatorsutils1.6.4+dfsg.1-5.1+b1
sudo apt-get remove cdo

This will remove just the cdo package itself.

Uninstall cdo and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cdo

This will remove the cdo package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cdo then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cdo

Or similarly, like this cdo

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cdo
