How To Uninstall cdparanoia On Debian 8

To uninstall cdparanoia just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cdparanoia

linuxaudio extraction tool for sampling CDssound3.10.2+debian-11
sudo apt-get remove cdparanoia

This will remove just the cdparanoia package itself.

Uninstall cdparanoia and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cdparanoia

This will remove the cdparanoia package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cdparanoia then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cdparanoia

Or similarly, like this cdparanoia

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cdparanoia
