How To Uninstall cereal On Debian 8

To uninstall cereal just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cereal

automated, logged serial terminal management systemDebian 8.0utils0.24-1
sudo apt-get remove cereal

This will remove just the cereal package itself.

Uninstall cereal and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cereal

This will remove the cereal package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cereal then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cereal

Or similarly, like this cereal

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cereal
