How To Uninstall cfengine2 On Debian 8

To uninstall cfengine2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cfengine2

linuxTool for configuring and maintaining network machinesadmin2.2.10-5+b1
sudo apt-get remove cfengine2

This will remove just the cfengine2 package itself.

Uninstall cfengine2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cfengine2

This will remove the cfengine2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cfengine2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cfengine2

Or similarly, like this cfengine2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cfengine2
