How To Uninstall cgdb On Debian 8

To uninstall cgdb just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cgdb

curses-based interface to the GNU Debugger (GDB)Debian 8.0devel0.6.7-2
sudo apt-get remove cgdb

This will remove just the cgdb package itself.

Uninstall cgdb and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cgdb

This will remove the cgdb package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cgdb then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cgdb

Or similarly, like this cgdb

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cgdb
