How To Uninstall cgilib On Debian 8

To uninstall cgilib just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cgilib

Simple CGI LibraryDebian 8.0web0.6-1
sudo apt-get remove cgilib

This will remove just the cgilib package itself.

Uninstall cgilib and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cgilib

This will remove the cgilib package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cgilib then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cgilib

Or similarly, like this cgilib

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cgilib
