How To Uninstall cheese-common On Debian 8

To uninstall cheese-common just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cheese-common

Common files for the Cheese tool to take pictures and videosDebian 8.0gnome3.14.1-2
sudo apt-get remove cheese-common

This will remove just the cheese-common package itself.

Uninstall cheese-common and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cheese-common

This will remove the cheese-common package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cheese-common then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cheese-common

Or similarly, like this cheese-common

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cheese-common
