How To Uninstall cheese On Debian 8

To uninstall cheese just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cheese

linuxtool to take pictures and videos from your webcamgnome3.14.1-2
sudo apt-get remove cheese

This will remove just the cheese package itself.

Uninstall cheese and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cheese

This will remove the cheese package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cheese then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cheese

Or similarly, like this cheese

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cheese
