How To Uninstall cherrytree On Debian 8

To uninstall cherrytree just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cherrytree

linuxhierarchical note taking applicationeditors0.35.2-1
sudo apt-get remove cherrytree

This will remove just the cherrytree package itself.

Uninstall cherrytree and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cherrytree

This will remove the cherrytree package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cherrytree then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cherrytree

Or similarly, like this cherrytree

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cherrytree
