How To Uninstall chiark-rwbuffer On Debian 8

To uninstall chiark-rwbuffer just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just chiark-rwbuffer

linuxreadbuffer/writebufferutils4.4.2
sudo apt-get remove chiark-rwbuffer

This will remove just the chiark-rwbuffer package itself.

Uninstall chiark-rwbuffer and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove chiark-rwbuffer

This will remove the chiark-rwbuffer package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for chiark-rwbuffer then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge chiark-rwbuffer

Or similarly, like this chiark-rwbuffer

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove chiark-rwbuffer
