How To Uninstall chrony On Debian 8

To uninstall chrony just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just chrony

linuxSet the computer clock from time servers on the Netadmin1.30-2+deb8u2
sudo apt-get remove chrony

This will remove just the chrony package itself.

Uninstall chrony and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove chrony

This will remove the chrony package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for chrony then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge chrony

Or similarly, like this chrony

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove chrony
