How To Uninstall chrpath On Debian 8

To uninstall chrpath just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just chrpath

linuxTool to edit the rpath in ELF binariesutils0.16-1
sudo apt-get remove chrpath

This will remove just the chrpath package itself.

Uninstall chrpath and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove chrpath

This will remove the chrpath package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for chrpath then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge chrpath

Or similarly, like this chrpath

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove chrpath
