How To Uninstall cimg-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall cimg-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cimg-dev

powerful image processing libraryDebian 8.0math1.5.9+dfsg-1
sudo apt-get remove cimg-dev

This will remove just the cimg-dev package itself.

Uninstall cimg-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cimg-dev

This will remove the cimg-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cimg-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cimg-dev

Or similarly, like this cimg-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cimg-dev
