How To Uninstall citadel-server On Debian 8

To uninstall citadel-server just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just citadel-server

complete and feature-rich groupware serverDebian 8.0mail8.24-1+b3
sudo apt-get remove citadel-server

This will remove just the citadel-server package itself.

Uninstall citadel-server and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove citadel-server

This will remove the citadel-server package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for citadel-server then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge citadel-server

Or similarly, like this citadel-server

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove citadel-server
