How To Uninstall ckeditor On Debian 8

To uninstall ckeditor just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ckeditor

linuxtext editor which can be embedded into web pages.web4.4.4+dfsg1-3
sudo apt-get remove ckeditor

This will remove just the ckeditor package itself.

Uninstall ckeditor and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ckeditor

This will remove the ckeditor package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ckeditor then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ckeditor

Or similarly, like this ckeditor

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ckeditor
