How To Uninstall ckermit On Debian 8

To uninstall ckermit just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ckermit

serial and network communications packageDebian 8.0comm302-5
sudo apt-get remove ckermit

This will remove just the ckermit package itself.

Uninstall ckermit and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ckermit

This will remove the ckermit package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ckermit then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ckermit

Or similarly, like this ckermit

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ckermit
