How To Uninstall cl-awk On Debian 8

To uninstall cl-awk just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cl-awk

linuxCommon Lisp package with the features of AWK and morelisp1-3
sudo apt-get remove cl-awk

This will remove just the cl-awk package itself.

Uninstall cl-awk and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cl-awk

This will remove the cl-awk package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cl-awk then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cl-awk

Or similarly, like this cl-awk

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cl-awk
