How To Uninstall cl-ppcre On Debian 8

To uninstall cl-ppcre just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cl-ppcre

Portable Regular Express Library for Common LispDebian 8.0lisp2.0.3-1
sudo apt-get remove cl-ppcre

This will remove just the cl-ppcre package itself.

Uninstall cl-ppcre and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cl-ppcre

This will remove the cl-ppcre package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cl-ppcre then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cl-ppcre

Or similarly, like this cl-ppcre

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cl-ppcre
