How To Uninstall clinfo On Debian 8

To uninstall clinfo just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just clinfo

Query OpenCL system informationDebian 8.0admin0.0.20130513-2
sudo apt-get remove clinfo

This will remove just the clinfo package itself.

Uninstall clinfo and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove clinfo

This will remove the clinfo package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for clinfo then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge clinfo

Or similarly, like this clinfo

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove clinfo
