How To Uninstall clipit On Debian 8

To uninstall clipit just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just clipit

linuxlightweight GTK+ clipboard managermisc1.4.2-1
sudo apt-get remove clipit

This will remove just the clipit package itself.

Uninstall clipit and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove clipit

This will remove the clipit package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for clipit then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge clipit

Or similarly, like this clipit

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove clipit
