How To Uninstall cloc On Debian 8

To uninstall cloc just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cloc

linuxstatistics utility to count lines of codedevel1.60-1
sudo apt-get remove cloc

This will remove just the cloc package itself.

Uninstall cloc and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cloc

This will remove the cloc package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cloc then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cloc

Or similarly, like this cloc

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cloc
