How To Uninstall cmake-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall cmake-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cmake-dbg

debugging symbols for CMakeDebian 8.0debug3.0.2-1+deb8u1
sudo apt-get remove cmake-dbg

This will remove just the cmake-dbg package itself.

Uninstall cmake-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cmake-dbg

This will remove the cmake-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cmake-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cmake-dbg

Or similarly, like this cmake-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cmake-dbg
