How To Uninstall cmdtest On Debian 8

To uninstall cmdtest just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cmdtest

blackbox testing of Unix command line programsDebian 8.0python0.12-1
sudo apt-get remove cmdtest

This will remove just the cmdtest package itself.

Uninstall cmdtest and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cmdtest

This will remove the cmdtest package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cmdtest then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cmdtest

Or similarly, like this cmdtest

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cmdtest
