How To Uninstall dconf-service On Debian 8

To uninstall dconf-service just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just dconf-service

simple configuration storage system - D-Bus serviceDebian 8.0libs0.22.0-1
sudo apt-get remove dconf-service

This will remove just the dconf-service package itself.

Uninstall dconf-service and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dconf-service

This will remove the dconf-service package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for dconf-service then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge dconf-service

Or similarly, like this dconf-service

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dconf-service
