How To Uninstall dconf-tools On Debian 8

To uninstall dconf-tools just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just dconf-tools

transitional dummy packageDebian 8.0oldlibs0.22.0-1
sudo apt-get remove dconf-tools

This will remove just the dconf-tools package itself.

Uninstall dconf-tools and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dconf-tools

This will remove the dconf-tools package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for dconf-tools then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge dconf-tools

Or similarly, like this dconf-tools

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dconf-tools
