How To Uninstall dzedit On Debian 8

To uninstall dzedit just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just dzedit

CERNLIB data analysis suite - ZEBRA documentation editorDebian 8.0devel20061220+dfsg3-4.1
sudo apt-get remove dzedit

This will remove just the dzedit package itself.

Uninstall dzedit and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dzedit

This will remove the dzedit package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for dzedit then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge dzedit

Or similarly, like this dzedit

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dzedit
