How To Uninstall freetds-common On Debian 8

To uninstall freetds-common just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just freetds-common

configuration files for FreeTDS SQL client librariesDebian 8.0libs0.91-6
sudo apt-get remove freetds-common

This will remove just the freetds-common package itself.

Uninstall freetds-common and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove freetds-common

This will remove the freetds-common package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for freetds-common then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge freetds-common

Or similarly, like this freetds-common

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove freetds-common
