How To Uninstall libacr38u On Debian 8

To uninstall libacr38u just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libacr38u

PC/SC driver for the ACR38U smart card readerDebian 8.0libs1.7.11-1
sudo apt-get remove libacr38u

This will remove just the libacr38u package itself.

Uninstall libacr38u and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libacr38u

This will remove the libacr38u package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libacr38u then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libacr38u

Or similarly, like this libacr38u

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libacr38u
